The Healthy Pregnancy Program is a home visiting program for expecting parents and women to help gain access to medical, social, educational, and other services during their pregnancy. Waukesha County offers these services at no cost to families.
Through a series of appointments with a registered nurse, you will receive information on:
- Blood Pressure, weight measurements, and newborn checks
- Coordinate services along with physician’s care.
- Offer nutritional information and education on pregnancy topics of interest.
- Personalized visits to fit your family's needs
- Community resources including:
- Healthcare providers
- Dental Care
- WIC
- Counseling
- Transportation
- Food Access
- Discomforts of pregnancy
- Preterm labor
- Labor and delivery
- Taking care of your newborn
- Breastfeeding
- Emotional wellbeing
- Parenting and additional information as needed.

Option 2: Fill out our referral form (a fillable PDF), save it to your computer, then attach it to an email, and send to: publichealth@waukeshacounty.gov
Step 2
A Waukesha County Public Health nurse will meet with your family in your home or other location that works for you. Visits can be scheduled to fit your needs.
Step 3
Continuous care and connection is our goal at Waukesha County Public Health. You'll work together with your nurse to make sure your family is on track to a healthy lifestyle while staying connected to community resources.
